For easier and better navigation, we've added a little cool snippets from snap.com where you'll be able to get a preview of the page when you mouse over a link. Hope that helps.

Changes of http prefix

It was reported in forums that capital prefix Http:// has been causing problems and we found that to be true after some simple testing. We have changed the prefix from Http:// to http:// and things had worked out well. So, ping on guys :-)

Enter your own blog details when you ping manually

Option is added now for manual ping users to optionally enter your own blog title, url and rss/atom feed. We have gathered feedback from users and this is what most users requested. Hence, it will work great if you have using other feed providers like feedburner. As time goes by, we will listen to your feedback and try making autopinger site as easy to use as possible. Option added for entering your blog details

Thanks to the feedback from ZachGates (you can read it here), we have added an additional option for you to key in your own blog details. So you have the option to auto-discover them or enter them by yourself. Keep your feedback and suggestions coming, we are listening :-)

Quick Ping and Quick Pod to be moved to members area

We have detected that some Quick Ping users are spamming away with the pings! This is unhealthy as your blog as well as autopinger will be marked as a spam site to search engines and aggreators, and this is going to hurt your traffic in the long run.
Therefore, we have decided to move the Quick Ping and Quick Pod functionalities into the member's area where we can better monitor how pings are served. This is by no means to cause inconvenience to our users but to safeguard the broadcasting of your blogs in return for more traffic. So, we need to be a reliable ping provider :-)
We will be making the changes in 2-3 days and all existing Quick Ping and Quick Pod buttons will continue to work until we make the changes. Check our blog again for more details.

Some changes on Autopinger site

You may have noticed some changes if visit the recent blogs page and the recent podcasts page where under the owner column, we have changed the code to show more accuracy on who is pinging.
"[Username]" are our registered users who use our Auto-Pinging mechanism. (I would recommend you to try this!)
"Manual" refers to users pinging their blog/podcast via the Ping Blog or Ping Podcast page.
"QuickPing" are users who use our Quick Ping Button on their blogs.
"QuickPod" are users who use our Quick Pod Button on their blog/site.
"RPC" are users who use our XML-RPC interface in their blogging software.
Nevertheless, autopinger's aim is to make blog and podcast pinging a lot easier than before and there are various ways you can broadcast your blog/podcast updates via the abovementioned method. So, have fun everyone :-)
